Find out everything you need to know and more about the current condition of the golf course.

The golf course is currently in excellent condition which is fantastic timing for our first Club Championships since 2020. In particular the greens have a great cover of grass on them and are really starting to roll nicely after the renovations last month.

With the weather starting to heat up the ground staff are spraying all the greens regularly with a wetting agent to help retain moisture in the soil. You’ll also find the greens might start to roll a little slower as the height on the mower blades are lifted slightly. It’s much better for the grounds staff to keep the greens cooler with a bit more growth than cut them too short and see them dry out on hot days.

Around five faulty fairway and greenside sprinkler heads have been replaced in the last week, so the watering system is fully functioning.

Unfortunately there’s been a delay on the installation of the practice nets from the supplier. It would have been nice to have them ready for use for the Club Championships, but hopefully they will be completed before the championships finish. We anticipate the nets will be installed within the next two weeks.

The installation of new tee signs is scheduled to commence the week beginning Monday 13th November. Once installed the swapping of both nines won’t be far away.
