Record Rounds Despite The Rainfall

Apart from a handful of days where Sydney has been drenched by the rain, golfers have continued to enjoy playing at Hurstville Golf Course over the last month. Fortunately, the golf course has been drying out relatively quick compared to some of our neighbouring courses. Our golfers that need the assistance of motorised carts have had to remain patient on the handful of days they haven’t been allowed out.

Thanks for your understanding that the golf course must always come first, for following our instructions and staying off the fairways when carts have been allowed out. By staying in the rough it helps keep our fairways in the highest of conditions.

We would also like to thank everyone for continuing to practice safe social distancing whilst at Hurstville Golf Course and for all our social players that provide us with their details for our Covid Tracing Register. And please make sure you stay at home if you’re showing any flu like symptoms.

Our club competitions are experiencing strong participation with 1500 comp rounds played in July. It’s great to see big fields out on the course and even better to see lots of quicker rounds after our tips on preventing slow play featured in last month’s newsletter.

Social players are also getting out there in large numbers mainly due to a combination of COVID restrictions and golf course presentation. With lots of new faces coming through the gate, it appears that some people are either managing their working days better or maybe they are just swapping the home office for the outdoor office!
