The BlueFit Junior Golf Academy has been happy to welcome new members, with most days nearing capacity. Golf clinics are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and some spots are still available.
Hurstville has begun hosting Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) Juniors on the Move Tournaments. The first tournament, for players aged 10 and up, was held on Sunday, March 30, with approximately 20 players. The second tournament, for players under 10, will be held on Sunday, April 6, at 11 am, with approximately 30 players.
Juniors on the Move (JOM) is a great way for children aged 6 to 14 to start playing competitive golf. The monthly 9-hole tournaments, held across New South Wales, are perfect for kids who have completed golf clinic programs and are ready for the next step. At JOM events, children learn how to play on a golf course, the rules of golf, and etiquette. They also receive an accredited JNJG 9-hole handicap, which improves as they play better, encouraging and motivating them to develop their skills.
