Green Extensions
Work to expand the putting surfaces of the 14th, 16th and 17th greens will commence this month. Weather permitting, one green will be completed each week on Wednesday 2nd, 9th and 16th April. This will help minimise disruption to golfers and avoid any impact on competition dates. No greens will be closed during the expansion works.
The newly laid turf will be roped off with white stakes and will be treated as GUR until it is suitable to play on. If a ball lands in the GUR area, it is deemed on the green but must be placed no nearer the hole on the green with no penalty.
There will be areas at the front of the greens that will act as entrances for players to finish the hole and exit the green the same way.
