Golf Australia is embarking on a significant digital update that includes retiring the 25-year-old GOLF Link platform and introducing a new handicapping system called Golf Australia CONNECT.
While most changes will occur behind the scenes, members will notice some important new features:
- A new website: GOLF.com.au
- A new handicap app (different from our scoring app which is not impacted)
- A new GolfID to replace the GolfLink number (all existing members will retain the same number e.g GolfLink number 2033102567 will change to GolfID 2033102567)
- Please note your new GolfID number will be retained for life, even if you move to another home club in the future
Impact on Competitions during the transition
The transition to the new platform is scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 28, and is expected to be completed by Friday, October 3. While the transition is occurring, the club will not be able to conduct any handicap competitions. During this period, we will be playing a combination of social golf and Ambrose events.
