Important: Member Prize Account Updates

The Golf Club committee has recently introduced time limits on member prize money credits. We want to ensure you get the most out of your winnings, so please take note of the following deadlines:

  • Credits earned before 1st of April 2026: These must be used in the Pro Shop by 30 June 2026.
  • Expiration Date: On 1st of July 2026, any remaining balances from this period will expire and be transferred to the course maintenance fund.

The Golf Club would much prefer you to enjoy your credits! If you aren't sure what to spend yours on, speak to Stewart and the team about how you can treat yourself. Some ideas include:

  • Gear: Clothing, footwear, gloves, balls, or a new golf bag.
  • Maintenance: New grips for your favourite clubs.
  • Play & Learn: Golf lessons, motorised cart hire, or food and beverages at the club.

Troubleshooting: The Simple Golf App

We know some members have had issues setting up the Simple Golf Scoring App for daily competitions, usually following recent app upgrades. If you’re having trouble registering to play, follow these steps to get back on track:

Step 1: Log out of the App Select the three horizontal lines (top left) → Select Logout under your name → Confirm by selecting the red Yes, Logout icon.

Step 2: Refresh the App Close the app completely (usually by slowly flicking up on your phone screen) and then reopen it.

Step 3: Log Back In

  • Search for Hurstville Golf Club and select continue.
  • Enter your Member Number (the last 4 digits of your GA number).
  • Enter your Password (this is "hurstville" in all lower case, unless you have previously changed it).

Step 4: Start Your Round

  • Select Start Home Club Competition Round.
  • Select Next (ensure you do not tick "include this round on SOGO Golf").
  • Select the player you wish to score for, and you’re ready to play!

Caring for your MGI Buggy

We want you to get the most out of your time on the course, and that starts with looking after your MGI battery! To keep things running safely, always charge your battery on a solid floor (like concrete) in a breezy spot, and remember to wipe it down with a damp cloth instead of the hose.

Keep an eye out for any cracks or worn leads and if your battery ever takes a dip in a water hazard or a deep puddle, play it safe by disconnecting it immediately. A little bit of love goes a long way in keeping your buggy reliable for years to come!

Check out our full battery safety tips here.

Need a hand? If you’re still having trouble with the app, your MGI Buggy or want to check your prize account balance, come visit us in the Pro Shop. We’re always happy to help!
