History Made!
Congratulations to our Men’s Pennant Team for claiming Hurstville Golf Club’s first-ever Men’s Pennant title! The team secured a 4.5 to 2.5 victory over Wallacia in the Division 5 Final at Riverside Oaks Golf Course on Sunday, March 30th.
Their path to victory was built on a strong season, including a pivotal Week 4 win against Kareela (4.5 – 2.5) at Kareela’s home course. With Kareela winning both games against Macarthur Grange in Weeks 5 and 6, Hurstville’s place in the final was confirmed.
The team was determined to redeem themselves after their heartbreaking loss in the 2023 final against North Turramurra, which came down to the 18th hole. This year, they delivered in spectacular fashion, securing a historic championship for the club!

Mayoral Golf Day
The Georges River Council's annual Mayoral Golf Day, held at Hurstville Golf Course on Friday, March 7th, was a resounding success.
The event saw strong support from numerous sponsors who fielded teams for the Ambrose competition. Despite initial concerns about wet weather, the day turned out to be sunny, allowing golfers to enjoy the course, which was reportedly in its best-ever condition.
The Lugarno Lions generously provided food and beverages throughout the day. Participants also contributed to a good cause by participating in the Par 3 shoot-out competition and purchasing raffle tickets, raising funds for the St George Cancer Research Team.
