We were extremely fortunate to have a beautiful day to host our PGA Legends Pro-Am on Wednesday 23rd October.
The tournament was a huge success with all the golfers amazed at the improvements made to Hurstville Golf Club, both on and off the course. For the PGA professionals, it was their first time back at our course since 2019 and they couldn’t believe the transformation. Congratulations to Georges River Council and their team of maintenance staff for making this happen. A special thanks to Kevin Greene, Phil Bates and Reg Walker for organising the event and the Lugarno Lions Team who helped make the day run so efficiently on the day. And the members of Hurstville Golf Club for giving up their course for the day.
As always, the PGA professionals found the course extremely challenging to handle with its elevation changes, holes shaped in both directions and tree-lined narrow fairways. At the end of the day, professionals Martin Peterson and Scott Ford came out on top both shooting 4 under par 66’s and only 15 players breaking even par for the day.
We hope everyone who played had a wonderful day, especially all our sponsors, who make our event possible. We sincerely thank you for your generous contributions and look forward to seeing you all at Royal Hurstville for the 2025 Legends Pro-Am.
