There has only been one hole in one in the last month in our member competitions. Congratulations to Brett MacGregor who scored an ace on the 11th hole on Saturday 21st September.
And spare a thought for our popular member Rod Coughlan who came agonisingly close to achieving his first ever hole in one whilst playing the 11th hole on Thursday 5th September. As the picture below shows, the only thing stopping his ball from going in the hole was a grain of sand from the coring and top dressing the day prior. And in case you’re wondering, Rod managed to make his birdie putt after lining it up carefully. Hopefully the golfing gods will be kinder to Rod in the future.
