There’s been no hole in ones in our member competitions over the last month, however Donna Lincoln from Cronulla Golf Club scored a hole in one on the 7th hole when we hosted the Ladies Pennant Teams for the 4th round.
For those golfers still searching for their first hole in one, here’s some interesting facts from the PGA Tour.
The probability of a professional golfer scoring a hole in one is approximately 1 in 2,500, significantly higher than the odds for an average golfer, which are around 1 in 12,500. Considering that most golf courses feature 4 par 3 holes, it takes an average golfer roughly 3,125 rounds to achieve a hole in one. We are fortunate to have more chances at Hurstville Golf Course with 6 Par 3’s.
