Our current Junior Golf promotion is starting to pay dividends with more kids joining the Golf Club, gaining handicaps and playing in our club competitions.
The increase in participation has resulted in our first all Hurstville team entering the Encourage Shield Pennants competition in many years! For the majority of our team, it was their first experience playing individual matchplay and also playing foreign golf courses. The team travelled to far away courses like Penrith and Stonecutters Ridge and also played locally at The Ridge and Woolooware.
Unfortunately many of the games didn’t go our way, but the kids gained some invaluable experience throughout the tournament and increased in confidence each week, as individual matches started going down to the last hole on numerous occasions.
